WebNov 25, 2024 · I deleted the existing shared folder I used for Time Machine ("Time Machine") and created a new shared folder for Mac backups ("MacBackup"). And, yes my MBP that upgraded from Catalina>Big Sur backups fine, but my MP & Mac minis do not. Will not or cannot create the backup file. WebLogin to DSM and open control panel and select "File Services". In the advanced section -> check "Enable Bonjour Time Machine Broadcast via SMB". Button under that for "Set Time Machine Folders" and select the share you created. Then select apply. It should now show in Time Machine preference on macOS.
