WebDec 16, 2024 · I have the Cummins ISX 450. The engine fan is almost always on. I had the same problem with the Cummins ISX 485. They changed a sensor and it was OK after that. I hope this is the same thing, Just a sensor. Some kind of factory defect. It is annoying as all hell. I barely get my rest with the fan cutting in and out every (no kidding) five minutes. Do you think both problems are connectet? WebOct 31, 2013 · Turns out it was the primer pump, apparantly the motor still worked, but the pump part had stopped working. Ended up pulling the line off the primer pump inlet and running a hose into a bucket with fuel. Turned the key on and started the pump. Nothing in the bucket moved, it wouldnt even suck enough to wet the inside of the hose.
