WebJul 17, 2024 · #1 I had everything hooked up and was going to bleed the brakes and noticed most of the fittings, if not all of them were leaking. Even the fittings that came on the brake lines I bought from Cruiser Corps. I hope I just need to loosen and re-tighten and repeat a few times to get those to seat. It was really dripping I removed the short line from the proportioning valve and it seems to me the flare was not perfectly centered (see picture). What would you guys recommand? Racers use the aluminum 37 degree AN fittings which are the same as the steel 37 degree JIC fittings that are used in hydraulics. You have to undo all the distortion the tubing cutter creates. Deburr the inside, lightly file the sharp corner on the out side & file the end flat.
